Legal Counsel
Act as a Legal business partner to company and many of its sister operating companies to mitigate legal risk. Create a new contract management process as well as develop a contract review “playbook”. Advise on all aspects of commercial relationships, including review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts for North American businesses. Support Sr. Counsel in advising management and HR on North America employment law matters. Participate in M&A and other strategic activities, including acquisition due diligence and post-closing integration. Update and advise management on the status of litigation, claims, and other significant legal matters as well as assist in developing and driving litigation strategy for North America litigation matters. Provide training and updates to commercial teams in North America in areas such as legal escalation, contract review & management, litigation best practices, labor & employment, and antitrust law. Must have strong commercial experience, including contract review, negotiation, and management with excellent judgement. Should have 3+ years of experience practicing law within a legal department of a global company or comparable relevant legal experience. Must have a JD from an accredited university and licensed member in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.
