Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to support its family law practice in Greensboro, NC. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a Senior Attorney while developing substantive legal skills and gaining hands-on experience in complex domestic matters.

Duties

• Support the Senior Attorney in managing family law cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analysis using various legal databases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner.
• Assist in case strategy development and preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Maintain organized and accurate case files.
• Uphold firm standards for client service, responsiveness, and professionalism.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active North Carolina Bar License (or pending licensure for recent graduates).
• Minimum of one (1) year of family law experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal principles, procedures, and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research.
• Experience with legal drafting and document preparation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to team success.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
