The primary role of the Chief 2 Technician is to provide leadership in the development and delivery of services and structures in the Department focusing on patient care. A key area of responsibility will be to lead, manage and develop Cardiology staff ensuring a high standard of service delivery. Continuous quality improvement and the management of change are central to this role.
Terms:
Full Time, Permanent role
Salary: HSE Salary Scale applies €54,926k - €75,362k
Depending on experience
Location: Cork, Ireland
Essential Requirements:
Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology
Or
Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement for Technology University Dublin (TUDublin)
Or
Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS)
Or
Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology.
Or
An equivalent scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science awarded in or before 2005
And
Have 7 years post qualification experience with at least 3 years Echo , Cath and Pacing experience.
Demonstrable management experience of small to medium size teams is essential.
Experience with department rostering, recruitment and training of junior staff is required
Experience in stock management and ordering is required.
Experience in budget management and business planning required.
