Corporate Counsel- Labor & Employment
Duties: Provide practical and effective advice related to employment, labor, benefits and immigration law matters for the US Corporate office, Americas Business Unit(ABU) and select international locations (including the UK). Coordinate investigation of and draft or review position statements and other responses to complaints of discrimination filed with federal, state, and tribal fair employment practice agencies, as well as MSHA 105(c) charges. Work with corporate HR business partners to develop, update, and revise policies, procedures and handbooks. Assist the ABU in developing and implementing labor strategy. Providing all necessary support for labor negotiations, contract interpretation and other issues arising at represented site(s). Stay abreast of current employment, labor, benefits and immigration law developments. Develop and/or provide training to corporate office and ABU on key developments and other areas identified as relevant to the business. Manage relationships with partner firms to ensure business partners are satisfied with labor, employment and benefits projects and control outside legal costs on those matters.
