Work with a diverse team that enhances and supports our Retail POS system; championing our Retail partners and Dealer Franchisees that include more than 200 La-Z-Boy Retail locations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
We're looking for a full-stack developer with React experience; to help traject our internal hosted POS system on the cutting edge of modernization. You are someone who takes the initiative with great problem-solving skills; ready to join a dynamic development team!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Building best in class React Native application. Heavy use of React and JavaScript
* Utilizing Spring Boot in tandem with RESTful web services from AWS and other backends and React for JavaScript based front end development
* Pair programming for team efficiencies and knowledge sharing
* Lead the effort developing, deploying, and supporting our world class POS system built on the VMware Tanzu application platform, leveraging the latest in cloud (AWS) and mobile.
* Maintain and improve the DevOps practices (Jenkins, GitHub, build scripts)
* Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to spec out product feature requirements
* Take ownership of application performance and user experience monitoring
* Advocate for professional-level solutions, code quality, and modern engineering practices
* Collaborate with various teams to analyze, develop, and implement industry led technical and business solutions to support the needs of our customers
* Participate in structured technical and functional walkthroughs of specifications and programming logic with project team members.
* Use system traces and debugging tools for problem determination and system tuning.
* Follows procedures for change control in a manner that ensures that production systems are not adversely affected by development and test activities.

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
* 3 years as a hands-on full stack software developer building customer-facing applications
* 1-3 years Supervisory/Leadership experience in a tech or team lead role
* Experience with modern cloud-based architecture
* Experience one or more front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Spring Boot
* Experience in managing the full DevOps lifecycle in a cloud-based SaaS environment
* Experience as a developer on a Scrum team with demonstrated desire for continuous improvement
* Proven React development experience
* Excellent critical thinking skills, Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills
* Analytical abilities in designing Retail related systems/applications.
* Experience using JAVA technology
* Ability to effectively work with both technical staff and business process owners
* Problem solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple complex tasks/projects simultaneously and independently
* Travel: Up to 10%
Preferred Experience:
* Experience in more than one applicable development language/utility: HTML, SQL, JavaScript, Eclipse, GitHub, DROOLS , React, Docker, Kubernetes, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, J2EE application
