NPI Test Developer
Based in Mountain View this person will bring their experience in New Product Introduction to our manufacturing test group. Strong understanding of X86 hardware is a must. Working in Linux and Python required. Practical application of LEAN principles as they apply to NPI and manufacturing.
What You Will Be Doing
Interfacing with Engineering for determining test requirements
Creating new tests and test automation scripts for new products.
Troubleshooting hardware/software issues and providing solutions
Maintaining and expanding existing test infrastructure and framework
Writing manufacturing test plans and documentation for new products
Working with CMs to develop efficient test processes
Defining metrics around failures seen in the manufacturing environment.
Integrating with existing data infrastructure and teams
What You Bring To the Table
5 years Python programming experience
2 years experience with a UNIX/Linux operating system and tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Independent thinking and problem solving skills
X86 platform testing knowledge
Hardware debug experience
Some basic experience with hardware debug tools, like multimeter, oscilloscope, PCIe analyzer is a plus
B.S. degree in EE, Computer Engineering or similar field
Ability to successfully work in a rapid-paced and open office environment
Nice to Have
SQL and GIT/Bitbucket familiarity a plus
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma best practices
Understanding of basic manufacturing processes
