Electrical Design Technician II

Profile

The successful candidate will be part of an engineering team and will provide engineering design support for electric distribution and transmission projects to create and/or revise overhead/underground single-line, three-line, relay and metering drawings, wiring diagrams, single line layouts, and cable schedules. Candidate will also perform outdoor field work, order project material, review/create BOM’s, perform compliance reviews, manage multiple projects, and provide monthly schedule reports.
Job Requirements :
Basic Qualifications
Either a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Technology, an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with at least 2 experience, or at least 5 years experience without a degree
Proficiency in AutoCad or Microstation
Ability to analyze and resolve problems
Good written and oral communication skills
Desired Qualifications
2 years of electric control design or distribution/transmission design experience. Knowledge of electrical transformers, metering, substations, and other power distribution equipment/components.
