Profile

Seeking Paralegal with 3+ years of family law experience. The candidate will be tech-savvy, able to multi-task, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and work well independently. Should possess: Knowledge of Family Law Judicial Council forms and other pleadings, including preparation, serving and filing via e-file. Knowledge of Family Law procedures and Local Rules, including notice/service requirements for Requests for Orders (including ex parte applications and domestic violence restraining orders); submitting proposed Findings and Orders After Hearing; assembling and submitting Judgment packages; calculating deadlines for responsive pleadings, discovery and motions. Proficiency with office equipment, including computers (Word --- 75+ typing speed), printers, scanners, telephone systems, and merchant credit card machine. Knowledge of Time Slips preferred. Answer phones and assist clients, including working with clients to complete their disclosure documents and Declarations. Set up and maintain files. Update computer programs (DissoMaster, Essential forms, etc.) as needed. Coordinate conferences, meetings and appointments between attorneys and clients, including via Zoom and conference call.
