The candidate's responsibilities include: Review, revise and manage large volume of inbound and outbound contracts. Provide practical guidance on legal issues and agreements in the context of the company’s commercial goals and risk thresholds. Maintain and update terms of service, privacy policies and other templates. Contribute to cross-functional teams as a trusted advisor, creative problem-solver and strategic thinker. Interface with Sales, Product and Finance teams to assist the Legal team’s efforts in the preparation, implementation and optimization of forms, processes and procedures. Education and Experience: JD from an accredited law school and Member of the California State Bar in good standing. 5+ years of experience at a law firm or in-house experience in commercial transactions. Experience in a fast-paced quickly evolving organization. Strong substantive knowledge of contract law; including license, development, distribution, and service agreements. Skills & Qualifications: A high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment. Possess business acumen and critical thinking required to provide advice that considers all facets of the business - legal, strategic, operational, financial and risk. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
