The candidate will oversee and manage a broad range of securities and corporate legal matters related to the activities of firm and its affiliates. Oversee the operations of the legal Department’s Portfolio Management Support Group and the work of the attorney, paralegal, and legal secretary in such group. Coordinate the legal aspects of restructuring the financing arrangements for NEF, NYEF, or CEF portfolio projects. Coordinate the legal aspects of the takeover of project general partner interests. Review and comment on, from a legal perspective, documents and agreements which are generated in conjunction with specific projects that are in the NYEF, or CEF portfolios. Participate in strategy discussions regarding specific projects or specific sponsors with members of the NYEF, or CEF portfolios. Participate in strategy discussions regarding specific projects or specific sponsors with members of the NYEF, or CEF Portfolio Management Departments. Provide legal advice and counsel, as needed, to members of the NYEF, and CEF Portfolio Management Departments. Provide legal advice and counsel to representatives of the Portfolio Management Department regarding projects which have been taken over by affiliate, Community Development Advocates, Inc. Coordinate all litigation arising out of the above activities or affecting any of the projects in the NYEF, or CEF portfolios. Monitor and coordinate, with other relevant NEF personnel, the responses to any Internal Revenue Service Audits of project investments.
