Senior Compliance Analyst
Duties: Reporting to the Director, Compliance Risk and Data Services, provides support to the programs and activities described below using strong computer and interpersonal skills; receiving and responding to internal and external inquiries and resource line calls; conducting and reporting on reviews and audits; staying abreast of current trends related to compliance regulations such as conflict of interest and billing and coding; participating in the development and delivery of training and other documents for workforce education initiatives; assisting with committee meeting preparation and maintaining compliance documentation. Compliance risk initiatives include proactively monitoring health care laws and regulations and investigating potential risks within the Medical Center. Enhance existing risk assessment program by developing new methods to identify components of the revenue cycle, EHR documentation practices, and hospital business operations that may be at risk for non-compliance. Based on results of risk assessment and audit activities, initiate recommendations and oversee implementation of corrective action, policy development and other process improvement initiatives. Work closely with Medical Center administrative leaders, revenue cycle teams and clinical staff to implement change processes as identified by results of ongoing risk assessment activities. Monitor and investigate compliance resource/ hotline and external audit activities. Manage the process of sanction screening Faculty and Staff against the OIG, GSA, Illinois Medicaid/OIG, and specially designated nationals lists.
