Our Saddleback Production Team has a full-time Audio Manager position available. This position will be the point person for all audio quality and audio related technical matters for events occurring on the Lake Forest campus. It will require weekend and some weeknight hours.
Primary Duties:
Manage event setup, operation strike, and resets
Mix large and medium scale events within the Worship Center venue (FOH, MON, and Broadcast)
Schedule and lead Audio Leads on a weekly basis
Provide direct line of production leadership
Lead audio initiatives and processes
Champion healthy working relationships with band, artists, and audio staff
Manage Worship Center audio systems
Oversee daily project setups and event management to ensure consistency and customer service levels
Lead preventative maintenance – schedule repair, inspection, and audio inventory
Lead recruitment and retention of audio volunteers across the Lake Forest campus
Point person for any studio engineering, editing, and remixing of recorded media for Saddleback Worship and Saddleback Church as assigned. This includes but is not limited to podcasts, field recording for video, original music content, and weekend services
Audio maintenance budget forecasting/reconciling
Other duties as assigned
Experience & Qualifications:
2 years of previous AVL industry, or equivalent ministry-based, management experience
2 years of paid missing experience
Highly organized and self-motivated
Proficiency in mixing a high number of inputs and outputs, also utilizing advanced scene management
In-depth knowledge of large format Audio Systems and related equipment
A background in additional audio areas, for example, recording, RF planning & troubleshooting, digital networking, backline, intercom, inventory management, maintenance, and project management
Highly adaptable and able to work under pressure
Able to produce in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills, both in technical and non-technical environments
An ability to handle shifting and changing priorities quickly and smoothly
An understanding of Saddleback Church and its culture and values
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience is preferred
Certification from one area below and the ability to acquire an additional certification in a different area within two years:
Audio:
Avid Venue Certified – Operator: Live Sound, Pro Tools HD Certified – Operator Post, Soundweb, QSys, SMAART, Yamaha M7 Console Certification
Video:
Adobe Premiere Pro CC Video Editor Certification, Adobe Photoshop CC – Print Designer Photographer
Lighting:
High-end Systems Fixture Repair Class completed, grandMA2 Advanced User Certification, High-end Fixture Repair Class completed, High-end Console Class completed
