Immigration Paralegal
The candidate will handle primarily litigation-related responsibilities. Will be working directly with an attorney in the preparation of litigation-related documents, including applications, motions, and other forms. The job will require interaction with clients, immigration court clerks, and immigration officials, whereby strong inter-personal skills are a must. Will assist litigating attorney in all stages of the litigation process, to include interview of clients and witnesses, preparation of forms and motions, supplemental packets and statements. Review existing case files and update needed information/documentation. Research and prepare packets of country or subject-related documentation. Maintain detailed record keeping of all case activities. Handle client payments/invoices. Organize and file legal documents. Bilingual - Proficient in Spanish and English required. 1 year experience as a paralegal in a litigation-related position required. Efficient communications skills required. Solid written and verbal communication skills required. Excellent organizational skills required. Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks required. High school or equivalent preferred. English and Spanish required.
