LEG/SGO, Attorney - Consultant
Duties: Analyze operational documents in relation to the preparation of loan, technical cooperation, grant, and guarantee projects and prepare pertinent comments or suggestions thereon. Draft and edit loan, technical cooperation, grant, and guarantee agreements. Verify proper and timely compliance by the borrower and/or beneficiary of those requirements imposed by national legislation and the Bank’s policies for the signing of loan, technical cooperation, grant, and guarantee agreements. Conduct legal research and prepare legal analyses regarding operational policy issues and analyses of the legal framework in borrowing member countries of the Bank, as well as of particular sectors. Provide legal-operational support for the implementation of the Bank’s operational and sector policies and strategies. Draft amendatory agreements or contracts corresponding to loan, technical cooperation, grant, and guarantee operations in execution. Conduct legal research in areas concerning the execution of loan, technical cooperation, grant, and guarantee operations. Participate on behalf of the Legal Department in inter-departmental meetings and, when needed, in project missions with respect to the preparation or execution of loan, technical cooperation, grant, and guarantee operations.
