The candidate responsibilities will include: To provide specialized healthcare research, analysis, collaboration, and strategies to address medical/healthcare issues associated with potential litigation and risk management processes. Will protect Keck Medical Center’s assets by identifying opportunities for risk reduction a promotion of patient safety. Should have Current California Registered Nurse License. Bachelors Science Nursing (BSN) required, Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school preferred. 3 years of Clinical Nursing experience required, preferably in high-risk area, i.e., transplant services, ICU, surgery. Must have strong computer skills. Word processing experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point) is required. Experiencing with performing investigations related to adverse/sentinel events preferred. Liability claims experience/paralegal experience or educational equivalent preferred. Experience with facilitating Root Cause Analysis preferred.
