Immigrant Rights Clinic Visiting Assistant Director, Professor of Practice
The candidate will work in collaboration with the Director of the University’s IRC, as the Director steps into the role of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the university Law. Will lead efforts to develop the clinic docket in consultation with the Director, will be the principal supervisor of eight students, working in four teams of two, and will be the primary teacher in a weekly, two-hour clinic seminar on lawyering skills, values and knowledge, in collaboration with the Director. Directly represent detained and non-detained non-citizen clients in removal proceedings. Supervise student attorneys in casework and clinic projects serving this client population. Design and teach the clinic seminar in collaboration with the Director. Manage the clinic docket in consultation with the Director. Collaborate with local organizations to design projects to advance immigrant rights. Assist in the design and promotion of immigration-related events at the Law School.
