Part-time Student Law Clerk
The law clerk will work up to 6 hours/week and help maintain communications with the 40 or more public interest attorneys in the program. Communications will include information about the caseloads and clients served by the attorneys in the program. Help maintain communications with legal services organizations, law firms, the Minnesota law schools and individual attorneys about the work of the attorneys in program and about program generally. Assist with newsletters and other written communications and materials. Data entry and management is also a component of this duty. Will also have opportunities to assist with various aspects of nonprofit management and to work with Board of Directors. Should be a current University of Minnesota law student. Legal Studies or other coursework in social justice is preferred. Experience with or interest in working in a nonprofit setting is also preferred.
