Instrumentation amp Controls Technician - Power Plant

Global power company with Power Generation Plants in Southern California is seeking four I&C Technicians. The I&C Technicians will be supporting 3 large plants that generate power for over 3 Million homes. Duties: Work safely, following company policies, procedures and work practices in a positive, cooperative and productive mannerWorking knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance, electrical principles, work practices, procedures and materials.Perform work in connection with testing, calibrating, maintenance, repair and replacement of power plant process instrumentation and control systems.Knowledge of distributed controls systems (DCS) and all associated field devices.Knowledge of industry related CEMS hardware, software and reporting.Ability to interpret control drawings, P&ID's, loop sheets, schematics and other craft related drawings. Update equipment documentation and drawings as needed.Ability to work on air systems actuators, solenoids, switches and pneumatic control system equipment.Perform both routine and non-routine preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.Perform and document preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment according to manufacture and/or plant requirements.Qualifications:3 years of I&C and I&E experienceIndustrial plant, refinery or Power facility experience requiredKnowledge of Siemens Control SystemsHands on experience with transmitters, valves and actuators is preferredWe are seeking individuals desiring long term career opportunities.
