Senior Negotiator
The candidate will negotiate Research Funding Agreements, Clinical Trial Agreements, incoming/outgoing subcontracts, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, Data Use Agreements, amendments (funded and non-funded) and other agreements within the team’s portfolio. Resolve extremely complex issues and determine if further review is necessary by senior management or key university constituencies. Serve as liaison and active partner between Schools, principal investigators, Office of Sponsored Programs, research groups, and other departments. Serve as a liaison between the University, funding agencies and other sponsors. Assist Schools in preparation of complex proposals within parameters of sponsored and non- sponsored research guidelines. Serve as subject matter expert on research administration. Interpret complex regulations, rules, policies and procedures. Interpret complex university and government policies (FAR, Uniform Guidance, sponsor guidelines, etc.) for project and university personnel and help guide staff and faculty in interpreting complex policies and obligations. Provide guidance on account establishment, as needed.
