We have the opportunity to influence the next generation of clouds – private, public & hybrid.Job Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Sr. Program Manager, you will drive strategic internal, customer, and partner programs to deliver successful business results.  This role requires a resourceful, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual to drive strategic and complex programs and initiatives across multiple disciplines.  The scope of responsibility includes:Identifying opportunities that contribute to the growth of this rapidly expanding business unit.  Converting these opportunities into well-formulated programs with crisp structure and clear metrics. Collaborate with team members and business leaders to launch these programs and provide on-going visibility and easily comprehended business results.  Lead team accountability, operating cadence for meetings and follow-ups, and clearly communicate objectives, deadlines and status to all stakeholdersWork with other program managers and cross functional teams to align schedules and resources to meet deadlines, identifying risks and removing roadblocksDrive internal communications for alignmentRequirements12 years of experience in program/project managementA Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience working with large software engineering teams across different Business UnitsPreferred having past experience in Professional Services, Customer Service, or Partner OrganizationsStrong Organizational SkillsAbility to influence without authorityClear, articulate interpersonal and communication skillsGreat attention to detail and data-oriented personalityMastery of Online collaboration and project management tools including, but not limited to: (Microsoft Teams, Confluence, Slack, JIRA, SharePoint, MS Office)Ability to assimilate information clearly and present it to your audience in an easily consumable and relevant fashionAbility to work on multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environmentFirm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end program lifecycleVMware is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind: VMware is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
