Legal Assistant
The candidate will assist with legal/administrative tasks. Daily responsibilities include, as necessary: document review; pleading organization; proof reading, filing pleadings with various courts; maintaining files; monitoring web inquires; answering phones, and various other tasks. Calendaring and docketing. Discovery and research skills. Read, write, draft, and edit (e.g. punctuation, grammar, spelling) routine legal documents, transcription and routine correspondence on legal matters. Manage Incoming and Outgoing mail processing including scanning of documents. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete under time constraints required. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail required. Maintain legal files in good order required. Offers administrative support to attorneys. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and/or four (4) years of work experience in a law firm or in-house legal department as a litigation paralegal required. Outstanding Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Power Point required. Previous experience with trial preparation required. Strong organization skills and attention to detail required. Proficiency in e-filing (state and federal).
