 nSenior Project Engineer nReporting to the Assistant Project Manager, the Senior Project Engineer oversees all Project Engineer responsibilities and mentors the PEs’ development on the project. The SPE works closely with the Project Manager throughout the project during the buyout and procurement process, and helps maintain budget and schedule. The SPE will interface with the Superintendent on field walks and review the quality of delivered and installed materials.nYour key responsibilities will include:nnEstablishing and building relationships with clients/owners, owner’s reps, architects and subcontractors, resulting in repeat business and recommendationsnManaging subcontractor qualifying, procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders and punch listsnIdentifying scope gapsnManaging QAQC proceduresnWorking collaboratively and proactively with the project superintendent to ensure project safetynExecuting 3-week look-ahead schedulesnnQualifications:nnA bachelor’s degree preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or other applicable fieldn4 years of commercial construction industry experience. We will also consider college internship experience with similar companies in lieu of professional experiencenExperience with fast-paced schedules effective time-management skillsnGeneral knowledge of Type I and Type V construction means and methodsnA proficient knowledge of estimatingnA basic understanding of accounting and cost control proceduresnAbility to read plans, drawings and specificationsnAbility to write accurate and thought-out scopes for bid docs, and analyze bids from subsnAbility to process shop drawings, RFIs and submittalsnProficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, BIM/Revit, P6 and Procoren
