RN CLINICAL NURSE II - CHILD ADOLESCENT AND EATING DISORDERS PSYCHIATRY UNIT - 5 NEUROSCEINCE','PSY000S0','!*!RN needed for our Child, Adolescent and Eating Disorders Psychiatry Unit
 
The 28-bed Child, Adolescent and Eating Disorders Inpatient Psychiatry Unit is comprised of three different units with 14 Adolescent, 8 Child, and 6 Eating Disorders patient beds.  Safety is the key component of the care provided as well as introduction of positive coping skills, healthy living and positive leisure activities.  Our Child and Adolescent Units have behavior systems in place that reward positive behaviors.
 
Nurses provide assistance with ADL's, monitor and report on the patient's behavioral progress, emotional and physical symptoms, and provide medication and discharge teaching.  Nursing care includes but is not limited to assessing and monitoring patients for signs and symptoms of withdrawal, medication administration and emotional support during stressful events.  Nurses are expected to facilitate and help with groups in the milieu.
 
This is a 36 hours/week, 12- hour day/night rotating shifts position with occasional weekends, scheduling based on the needs of the unit.  Generous benefit package available. 
 
 
 
 ','!*! Requires graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing and one (1) year of nursing experience. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse and current certification as Healthcare Provider/BLS Provider for BLS/CPR required.  Experience in psychiatric nursing strongly preferred and additional experience working with eating disorders patients is an asset for this position. Prefer CPI (Crisis and Prevention Institute) certification at time of hire or required to obtain within 60 days of hire. This position requires the ability to perform therapeutic holds, restrictive interventions, and the ability to perform CPR on adults/children.   If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled in an accredited program within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.  ','United States-North Carolina-Chapel Hill','1000-11443-5 Neurosciences','','Full-time','Full-time','36','36','Rotating','RN CLINICAL NURSE II - CHILD ADOLESCENT AND EATING DISORDERS PSYCHIATRY UNIT - 5 NEUROSCEINCE
