Patent Agent (Chemical Engineering/Materials/Mechanical Engineering)
The candidate must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of the Bar. Should have 2-4 years of experience with a strong technical background in chemical engineering, materials science and/or mechanical engineering. Familiarity with software is also preferred. Experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications, strategically developing patent portfolios, conducting IP due diligence and FTO analyses, drafting opinion letters and supporting intellectual property litigators in the development of enforcement and defense strategies is required. Advanced degree preferred (an MS); industry experience desired. Registration with the USPTO required.
