Description
The Manager, Care Management Support contributes to administration of care management. Provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Manager, Care Management Support works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Care Management Support Decisions are typically related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration, and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
6 years of similar job experience ( with Microsoft , Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency)
2 years of management experience
Experience managing Medicaid members or worked for a MCO (Managed Care Organization) previously
Demonstrated ability to conduct briefings and area meetings using excellent organizational and communication
Remote Requirements:
Must provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required
Must be able to travel within the State of Kentucky
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business or a related field
Applicable KY licensure in field of study - MSW or RN, or Licensed BH (Behavioral Health)
Previous experience working in a managed care field
5 years of previous management/supervisor level experience
Additional Information
Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm EST.
Training:
Virtual training 3 wks.(For Internal candidate - the training schedule would be modified to meet the need of the transferring Manager)
