Legal Administrative Assistant
The candidate will be responsible for providing legal administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including: Preparing legal documents and correspondence. Assisting with gathering and organizing documents, exhibits, and other material in response to discovery requests, interrogatories, etc. E-filing in various jurisdictions. Scheduling and coordinating attorney and caseload calendars. Assisting attorneys with time entry, transcription and travel arrangements. Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files. Should have 3+ years’ experience working in a law office required – civil litigation experience strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required – Associate’s degree in a legal field, or Bachelor’s degree, or commensurate experience strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of legal terminology, legal document formats, rules of civil procedure, and court filing procedures. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office software, Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, including ability to manage multiple tasks. Proven internal/external client relationship skills.
