Part Time Law Librarian - Reference
The candidate will participate in a weekly reference schedule consisting of evening and/or weekend hours. Occasional and irregular daytime, weekday hours are possible but rare. Provides reference services to patrons in person, over the phone, or by email. Provides a wide range of reference and specialized research assistance to law students, law faculty, the university community, the legal community, and members of the public. Refers patrons to legal research resources appropriate to their needs, provides appropriate instruction in the use of such resources, and provides information about alternative resources as necessary. Collaborates in the development, evaluation, and implementation of reference goals, policies, procedures, and services as needed. Creates, revises, and updates research guides, bibliographies, and other law library publications and web content as needed. May participate in or complete other projects and activities that support reference, research, or instructional needs, such as, but not limited to, special collection development and maintenance projects or research instruction sessions or presentations. Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Reference or the Director of the Law Library.
