Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Litigation Associate to join its team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will possess three to seven years of experience, with a preference for those based in or willing to relocate to the Nashville office. This role involves collaborating with attorneys in the Financial Services and Capital Markets business unit to manage complex intellectual property matters.

Duties

• Manage a broad range of trademark and copyright matters, including large domestic and international portfolios.



• Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and resolve trademark and copyright disputes.



• Address domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and lead anticounterfeiting enforcement efforts.



• Draft and respond to demand letters, provide litigation support, and manage copyright registrations.



• Negotiate and draft trademark and copyright licensing agreements and technology contracts.

Requirements

• Three to seven years of experience in trademark and copyright litigation is preferred.



• Trademark litigation and TTAB experience are threshold requirements for this role.



• Must hold an active bar license in the state corresponding to the office of application or commit to obtaining one promptly.



• Demonstrate exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate legal strategies effectively.



• Show a proven record of working well under pressure and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in the relevant jurisdiction.
