Trademark Docketing Clerk
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the trademark docket in CPI, along with opening and distributing trademark mail and electronic mail, and maintains Trademark files and all related functions. Receives and processes all incoming correspondence and communications from the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), foreign associates: Identifies and sorts Indocket Mail between trademark and patent. Prints all trademark Indocket Mail. Opens trademark mail and date stamps mail. Identifies trademark matter numbers. Dockets, as required, into the Computer Packages, Inc. (CPI) database. Updates appropriate files. Distributes mail electronically to responsible attorneys and legal administrative assistants. Maintains the CPI database for the Intellectual Property Department’s trademark files, including updates of client and user information, updating country laws,closing files. Generates docket, status and miscellaneous reports as required by attorneys, IPstaff and clients. Creates new files for Trademark: Prepares folders (folding and adding prongs). Prepares and adds labels. Assists and advises the IP File Clerk in maintaining departmental processes and procedures. Works with the accounting department to balance and maintain deposit accounts with the USPTO and processing of foreign agent debit notes. Other duties as assigned.
