A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with over three years of experience for its Indianapolis, IN office. This full-time position involves a hybrid role of general corporate and transactional work, with a focus on representing community associations. The successful candidate will handle matters from start to finish, engage in regular client interaction, and balance advisory responsibilities effectively.

Duties

• Serve as general counsel to condominium and homeowners associations.
• Draft, review, and amend governing documents, including declarations and bylaws.
• Negotiate management agreements and vendor contracts.
• Prepare demand letters and compliance notices.
• Advise boards on compliance with Indiana statutes.
• Attend and advise at board and membership meetings.
• Provide legal guidance on governance and statutory obligations.
• Assist with budgeting issues, owner disputes, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage litigation matters, including covenant enforcement actions.
• Support pre-litigation dispute resolution efforts.
• Participate in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Indiana Supreme Court.
• Two to four years of legal experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines efficiently.
• Professional, client-focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
