As an **Inside Sales Specialist** for Staples, you will be part of a team responsible for servicing customer print needs by preparing bids and quotes with the goal of converting sales. You will be responsible for consulting with internal business partners and customers regarding sales opportunities in order to uncover all appropriate details to provide an accurate and competitive print quote. You will work closely with our Retail Print team to make a strong presentation for our category offerings and increase the number of customers buying print and promotional products from Staples.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Engage with business partners/customers via telephone and email to analyze their needs and customize recommendations to upsell/cross sell
Prepare bids and quotes to business partners/customers with accuracy and speed. Follow defined procedures and processes, and complete all required documentation for customers, as well as entries to support system(s)
Provide ongoing follow up on all open product requests through request completion
Effectively probe business partners/customers to fully qualify sales opportunities
Present quote, overcome objections, and find solutions related to quote requests in order to secure the sale
Provide value-based solutions that focus on customer needs, ensure customer retention and growth
Collaborate with account owners, internal business partners including Sales Managers, Retail Partners and vendors to ensure seamless customer experience and drive sales results
Connect directly with customers to place transactional orders

**Qualifications**
**Essential skills and experience:**
High School diploma or equivalent
Professional and effective written and verbal documentation/communication skills
Proven ability to sell as part of a team
Comfortable with financial sales tracking and analysis
**Preferred skills and experience:**
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field
Minimum of 2 years' sales/sales support experience
Exceptional phone & e-mail communication skills
Experience with Salesforce.com
Previous experience in the print, promotional, or marketing field
