IT Healthcare Business Analyst * Greenwood Village, CO

Long term contract role 9 months

Strong Health Care Payer Operations experience required!

This critical role will be supporting the operations functional areas (revenue cycle, claims, enrollment, premium billing, and member and provider services) to ensure superior service delivery and capabilities to national accounts.

The Business Analyst will have the following responsibilities:
-Works with business users to define, analyze, document, and report on problems and proposed solutions
- Evaluates the implications of business and technical solutions to the current and future operating environments
- Assist with creation of test plans based on requirements documents
- Contributes to development of policies and procedures in support of business and IT functions
- Create, maintain and manage systems documentation defining business requirements
-A comprehensive understanding of healthcare plans, operations, and payer experience is a plus.

Essential Skills Required
-Good working knowledge of and demonstrated ability utilizing software systems, tools, and processes
- Experienced in program and process development and implementation
- Deep domain knowledge and experience within the Health Care Payer Operations environment
- Applies research, information gathering, and analytical skills to solving problems of diverse scope
- Assumes responsibility for improving service, efficiency, and quality of work
- Involved in putting together preliminary analysis of alternative business solutions
- 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experienced at setting project priorities based on project objectives in changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer first orientation, results driven, and innovative

Hardware/Software Packages
MS Office, MS Project, VISIO, Windows applications, Web applications, web services, Agile development methodology and Object based programming
