Marketing Data Hub team, as part of the Marketing Technology Team, is on a mission to break down the barriers of siloed applications by providing a cloud based platform that allows the sharing of data across marketing applications whether they are off the shelf products located in our data center, SaaS applications, or homegrown applications in our datacenter or the cloud. Therefore, we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer
. Leveraging state of the art cloud tech, Kafka, and microservices, MDH provides the orchestration layer that is driving modernization and efficiencies through consuming, connecting, and providing data across the Marketing Ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop key marketing and merchandise technology initiatives
Work in an Agile team with engineers and product owners
Demonstrate a creative and innovation-driven ability to articulate engineering design patterns related to scale, performance, security, and usability
Implement software using open-source Java solutions with a focus on sophistication and scale
You will assist the team in adding enhancements to our system, refactoring technical debt, and researching new technologies and frameworks.
You will join a small agile team; participating in stand-ups, iteration planning, design reviews and other typical agile ceremonies.
You will learn and teach others. The team is built on the premise that learning is never-ending and essential.
Specific relevant technologies you will use include:
High-volume distributed databases, such as Cassandra
Messaging middleware, such as Kafka

You are experienced at building web applications and services using object-oriented programming languages, preferably in Java with frameworks like Spring.
You can write accurate, readable, and organized code in Java 11.
Minimum Qualifications:
6 years of progressive responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: software/web development, application delivery, design or architecture for web or service oriented environments
Preferred Qualifications:
6 years' hands-on experience implementing and deploying modern web development solutions in Java, Spring, Reactive RESTful web services, NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra), Kafka, IBM MQ or RabbitMQ, XML, JSON, Linux
Disciplined software engineering habits including: TDD, Automated Unit Testing, Automated Regression Testing
Experience working on teams using agile methodologies
Specific software development experience in: Spring Framework
Messaging Middleware (Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Cloud Pub/Sub)
Spring Boot with WEBFLUX
Docker
Open source software
NoSQL data stores (Cassandra, Redis, etc.)
ReactJS
NodeJS
JUnit 5
Grafana
Graph Database (example: nio4j)
