A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Litigation Associate to join its team in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves handling complex intellectual property disputes, including TTAB proceedings and UDRP matters, primarily within the Financial Services and Capital Markets sector. The ideal candidate will possess three to seven years of relevant experience and a strong commitment to professional excellence and community engagement.

Duties

• Manage a broad range of trademark and copyright matters, including large domestic and international portfolios and licensing agreements.



• Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and resolve domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP).



• Lead anticounterfeiting enforcement efforts, draft and respond to demand letters, and provide litigation support for copyright registration.



• Collaborate with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit to articulate legal strategies and manage multiple projects under pressure.

Requirements

• Three to seven years of experience in trademark and copyright litigation, with TTAB experience as a threshold requirement.



• Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying, or a commitment to obtaining one as soon as possible.



• Excellent academic credentials and a demonstrated record of working effectively in high-pressure environments.



• Superior interpersonal skills, exceptional judgment, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Expertise in intellectual property law, including trademark and copyright disputes.



• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
