Duties: Serve as Associate General Counsel and manager for a team of specialized legal professionals focused on market data. Advise, counsel, structure and review complex strategies and agreements for the firm as it relates market data and index licensing. Work closely with stakeholders across the firm, including counterparts in Legal and Compliance Divisions, engineers and business stakeholders. Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements for technology-related goods and services, which will include Software as a Service (“SaaS”), telecommunications, software licensing and hardware purchase agreements, statements of work, change orders, amendments, and non-disclosure agreements (“NDAs”). Draft and negotiate outsourcing transactions, such as offshoring, Information Technology Outsourcing (“ITO”), and Business Process Outsourcing (“BPO”). Address issues related to internet, digital, social media, and e-commerce in new products and services; provide legal support in connection with the development of new products, services and partnerships and provide subject matter expertise related to market data and index licensing transactions.
