MEP Project Manager
Mechanical - Electrical - Plumbing- Construction Management- General Construction- Design Build
The MEP Project Manager will lead the coordination and management aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing for assigned construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Track record of running commercial MEP projects
Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources.
Selects and coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project.
Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
Is responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.
Supervises assistant managers, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies.
Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.
Required Skills:
Must have experience with commercial building construction with at least five (5) years or more of HVAC, Electrical or Mechanical construction experience
Focus of project work in an MEP environment
Experience working in electrical, mechanical and plumbing construction projects associated with commercial construction.
Bachelor’s Degree a plus
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, building codes, specifications, regulations
Submittal and drawing review experience
MEP systems start up and troubleshooting experience
Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Professional communication skills (written & verbal)
Interface with clients, subcontractors, architects, engineers, consultants
Computer proficiency in Microsoft and project management software (i.e., Prolog, Primavera, etc.)
Ability to perform calculations necessary to produce or interpret budgets and budget forecasts
