Be part of a team responsible for designing and developing the critical business applications in the Next Generation and Core Products suite. You will use best-of-breed technology from both established vendors such as Microsoft/AWS as well as open-source technology. As a Software QE Engineer, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in testing, developing, and innovating together as you bring your considerable software engineering skills to our dynamically growing organization. The ideal candidate would be innovative and have great problem solving, communication and analytical skills. He\She should be able to understand how to automate tests, isolate and document issues. And will be comfortable with either a Windows or Linux environment.We are an agile development shop. Collaborate with software engineers, quality engineers, scrum masters, product owners, and our architecture team, to develop multi-tier, multi-layered application layer framework, and functional components.Responsibilities include:Plan, develop, review, automate and execute test casesParticipate in product and feature design with developers, usability specialists, user interface designers, and product managers. Participate in functional reviews of specifications.Participate in cross team and milestone testing activitiesDiagnose, track, and manage quality issues to resolution. Scrub tickets by reproducing problems, identifying regressions, clarifying impact, and filtering out duplicationDevelop integration tests, performance tests, and scale tests for RMS Nextgen product suiteParticipate in and contribute to code reviewsTest environments when new builds are pushedAutomate test cases and plans for validating features in a SaaS environmentAdhere to quality best practices throughout the product development life cycleTake ownership of your work and continuously strive for improvementSelf-motivated to acquire additional technical skillsRequired Skills:4 years in test automation and quality engineeringExperience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.Experience with web-based product or services and maintenance of regression, performance, scale tests in large-scale multi-tenant web applicationsProficient with a high-level language such as Java, C# .NET, C (Preference?)2 years of proven hands-on experience in software development and testingFamiliarity with relational and big data technologies such as Postgres, Aurora, MS SQL and similar database technologiesFamiliarity with Git and build automation tools such as MavenExperience in unit & integration testing techniquesCreates and executes automated tests against REST APIs.As an expert in quality engineering, manages test plans and testing methodology for multiple software projectsSound understanding of various cloud technologies specially AWS cloud.Hands on experience with test automation tools like TestNG, Jmeter is a plusExperience with Version Control, Code Collaboration, and Continuous Integration SystemsPassion for finding and solving problemsExcellent communication skills, proven ability to convey complex ideas to others in a concise and clear mannerExperience working in AGILE environment.Strong communication skills and ability to work across functional team boundariesBS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field with 4 years of professional experience
