Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law firm, is seeking a Land Use Real Estate Senior Counsel (6+ years) to join its Portland office. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to handle sophisticated land use and real estate matters.

About the Role

The Senior Counsel will advise clients on land use entitlements, zoning, and real estate development. This role offers significant client contact and leadership opportunities within a collaborative practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise developers and property owners on land use entitlements, zoning, and permitting


• Represent clients before planning commissions, city councils, and other agencies


• Handle real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing


• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, development agreements, and related documents


• Mentor junior attorneys

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in land use and real estate law


• Strong experience with entitlements and permitting processes


• Excellent negotiation and client counseling skills


• Licensed to practice in Oregon

Compensation

The reasonably expected pay scale for this position is $225-$255k per year, with bonus potential up to $106,000. This is an estimate based on the office location.
