Experienced Maintenance Manager - Plastics Manufacturing Experience preferred!!
Duties
Manage daily activities of Maintenance staff and contractors as required.
Lead, coach, and mentor activities of maintenance staff to ensure established standards for safety and maintenance and repair of equipment are met.
Develop and modify short-term, mid-term and long-term preventive maintenance plans, tactics, and resources, as needed, to achieve safe and efficient uptime of facility and related industrial processing equipment.
Direct and facilitate processing and equipment upgrades through capital and operational expenditures to increase reliability and efficiencies of systems to produce cost effective - high quality products.
Responsible for all purchasing functions related to the Maintenance Department.
Work with established supply base and develop new best in class suppliers to provide engineering and maintenance services, where necessary.
Hire, train and develop maintenance staff to include all aspects of related equipment and maintenance techniques, including safe and proper operation of systems and equipment.
Evaluates performance of Maintenance Staff bi-annually for compliance with established goals and objectives. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Provides workers with written performance appraisals including discipline and up to termination.
Establishes work schedule of three shifts to meet necessary maintenance needs, in accordance with Union contract requirements .
Performs other related duties and special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college.
Minimum of 6 years related experience and/or training.
High Power Electrical Systems
PLC training
CMMS's
NJ Black Seal Boiler License - High Pressure
