Digital Media and Design Faculty

Profile

The Arts and Humanities Division is seeking a full time faculty member in Digital Media and Design. The successful candidate will teach one-hundred and two-hundred level courses in digital imaging and design using industry-standard production software in HCC’s Graphic and Interactive Design transfer program. In addition to teaching, the faculty member will coordinate the Graphic and Interactive Design curriculum and instructional facilities. Responsibilities include hiring and supervision of adjunct faculty, scheduling classes, and managing the digital arts classrooms and lab facilities. The candidate will work with the Department Chair on curriculum development and outcomes assessment, and function in a collaborative atmosphere.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Digital Media or related field, minimum of five years design experience, and a minimum of three years college-level teaching experience is required, or a combination of education and experience. Community college teaching experience preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in graphic/web design and production, and computer lab management. Motion graphics and time-based media design and production experience a plus.
