Associate Product Counsel, Search Ads and Commerce
The candidate will provide legal advice to engineering, product management, trust and safety, and cross-functional teams globally from the initial stages of innovative product development to launch. Ensure compliance with global laws including competition, privacy, content regulation, trademark, copyright, and consumer protection. Respond promptly to a wide range of legal requests from engineering, product management, advertising sales, marketing, communications, and other business groups. A JD, equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience. Should have 3 years of relevant attorney work experience in product, litigation, intellectual property, privacy, antitrust law, or commercial law. Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g. have registered in-house status) in the state in which the role is located. Should preferably have 5 years of relevant work experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Experience providing legal advice from product development to launch is preferred. Knowledge of local privacy and data security laws. Ability to work collaboratively, independently, strategically and with sound judgment.
