Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney in Chester County, PA, to join their litigation team. This full-time, remote position requires admission to practice law in Pennsylvania, with additional admissions in MD, NJ, or NY being advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of litigation experience and be adept at handling complex legal matters, conducting research, and negotiating effectively on behalf of clients.

Duties

• Oversee and manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and settlement discussions.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings and conduct/defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare witnesses for testimony.
• Communicate with clients effectively.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania (admission in DC, MD, NJ, or NY is a plus).
• Proven experience in a civil litigation firm.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania (additional admissions in DC, MD, NJ, or NY are a plus).
