A law firm seeks an attorney with 3 to 7 years of litigation experience to join the Litigation Department in Tampa, FL, as Special Counsel. This full-time position supports the Construction Practice Group on single-family housing matters, requiring autonomy and a focus on arbitration cases.

Duties

• Manage a high volume of litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions.
• Argue motions in court and participate in depositions.
• Engage in mediation, arbitration, and litigation of insurance and construction claims.
• Settle cases effectively and efficiently.
• Oversee a team of paralegals and support staff.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation preferred.
• Proven track record in settling cases.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

Skills

• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience managing a team is beneficial.
