Job Overview

A law firm in Atlanta seeks a talented Litigation Associate with at least four years of experience to join its nationally recognized Insurance Recovery and Counseling practice. This role offers substantial responsibility and meaningful client contact within a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Represent corporate policyholders in complex insurance coverage litigation, arbitrations, and dispute resolution proceedings involving D&O, Cyber, CGL, and other coverages.



• Advise clients on insurance recovery and litigation strategy across a broad range of coverage issues and support all phases of litigation.



• Analyze and interpret complex commercial insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage provisions to secure defense and indemnity coverage.



• Draft coverage analyses, pleadings, motions, briefs, and substantive legal memoranda for complex contractual disputes and commercial litigation.

Requirements

• At least four years of relevant experience in complex commercial litigation and sophisticated policyholder-side insurance coverage matters.



• Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail.



• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with sound judgment and initiative.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admission to the applicable state bar and in good standing, or ability to obtain admission promptly.

Skills

• Experience with cross-border matters or federal judicial clerkship is a plus, though not required.



• Proficiency in factual development, discovery, motion practice, and hearing or trial preparation.
