Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced E-Discovery Attorney to join its team in Riverside, CA. This role focuses on managing complex litigation and investigations while advising stakeholders on information governance and eDiscovery strategies. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements and support case teams in navigating evolving legal and technological landscapes.

Duties

• Manage eDiscovery for a portfolio of complex, global litigations and internal investigations.



• Develop and implement workflows for review platforms, incorporating data analytics tools like TAR and predictive coding.



• Advise legal, compliance, and investigation stakeholders on eDiscovery strategies that align with relevant laws and regulations.



• Support case teams with eDiscovery-related negotiations, motion practice, and client communications.



• Create and refine standard documentation, including ESI protocols, protective orders, and review workflows.



• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce client costs and enhance speed-to-evidence.



• Serve as a subject matter expert, assisting with the onboarding and training of new and existing team members.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations and investigations.



• Strong understanding of current eDiscovery law, jurisprudence, and evolving technologies.



• Hands-on experience with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity or Everlaw.



• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion.



• Proactive approach to identifying and executing continuous improvements in policies and processes.

Education

• JD required.

Certifications

• Admission to the California Bar (must be licensed for the state of California).

Skills

• Proficiency in data and document processing procedures within eDiscovery.



• Understanding of the relationship between eDiscovery and related disciplines, including information governance, data privacy, and data security.



• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
