Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with three to six years of construction-related transactional experience to join its nationally recognized Construction and Infrastructure Transactions practice in Minneapolis, MN. This high-responsibility role involves handling matters of national significance for institutional clients within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate sophisticated contracts, including EPC agreements, design-build documents, alternative delivery contracts, supply and purchase agreements, service and engineering agreements, and consulting agreements.



• Advise on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, bonding, and other critical commercial terms for large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects.



• Communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in independently drafting and negotiating complex construction contracts.



• Hands-on experience advising on critical commercial terms such as risk allocation and insurance.



• Excellent legal writing skills and strong academic credentials.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Experience with cross-border matters or complex infrastructure projects is desired.
