Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and strategic recommendations for clients.



• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks effectively to paralegals and legal assistants.



• Prepare discovery responses, manage document production, and attend depositions and hearings.



• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare cases for trial as necessary.



• Maintain regular communication with team members and provide thorough reports on case developments.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in Mississippi or have pending Mississippi bar exam results.



• 1-5 years of practice experience, with prior insurance defense experience encouraged.



• Willingness to learn and work autonomously as well as within a collaborative team structure.



• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or better from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Mississippi Bar License or pending bar exam results.
