Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney in Columbia, SC. The successful candidate will manage an active caseload involving life insurance disputes, contested beneficiary designations, will contests, trust and fiduciary litigation, inheritance claims, and personal injury cases.

Duties

• Handle depositions, motions, and trials from the outset.
• Manage an existing caseload with no requirement to bring in new business.
• Record 1,450 hours annually, including both hourly and contingency cases.

Requirements

• Four or more years of civil litigation experience.
• Membership in the South Carolina Bar in good standing.
• Experience in personal injury preferred; fiduciary litigation experience is beneficial but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in South Carolina.

Skills

• Strong litigation and trial skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
