A law firm in Glendale, CA, seeks an Associate Attorney to manage employment litigation cases from pre-litigation through settlement. The firm represents employees exclusively, providing a collaborative environment where attorneys can run their own cases with robust team and technological support.

Duties

• Manage a docket of employment cases, overseeing matters from initial intake through final settlement.



• Take and defend depositions, with prior experience in this area strongly preferred.



• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive motions, briefs, and correspondence.



• Communicate regularly with clients, expert witnesses, and defense counsel to advance case strategy.



• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient matter progression and case management.

Requirements

• Hold an active California bar license in good standing.



• Demonstrate ideally four or more years of experience in employment litigation.



• Exhibit knowledge of wrongful termination, FEHA, labor code violations, PAGA, and wage and hour claims.



• Apply strong understanding of California Civil Procedure and local court rules.



• Maintain excellent research and writing skills with a self-starter mindset.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California State Bar membership.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.



• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
