Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dynamic Labor and Employment Associate to join its Milwaukee office. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in employment litigation, including discrimination and wage and hour cases, and will thrive in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Handle employment litigation, including discrimination and wage and hour cases.
• Provide advice and counseling on OSHA and traditional labor matters.
• Engage in discovery, motion practice, and draft pleadings and court filings.
• Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations.
• Assist with deal due diligence and trial preparation in state and federal courts.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in employment litigation.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Experience with restrictive covenants and related litigation preferred.
• Demonstrated client relationship and business development skills.
• Ability to work in a busy, collegial environment.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Wisconsin Bar in good standing.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
